Urgent warning for 10MILLION Android phone users – check your Google and Samsung now | The Sun

EXPERTS have warned millions of Android smartphone users about a batch of apps found to be riddled with viruses.

Worryingly, almost 10million devices are thought to have installed the dodgy apps that were on the Google Play Store, according to Dr Web.

The list of seemingly innocent apps includes everything from image editing tools to wallpaper changers.

"They can display full-screen ads and block other apps’ windows, show various notifications, create shortcuts, and load websites," researchers warned.

The vast majority have been pulled from the Google Play Store since the report was published.
