Emily Maitlis lives in Kensington, London with her husband, their two sons and their pet whippet, Moody. She has lived in the posh London suburb since 2005 and has claimed she “adores” the area. Not only does she live with her family, but her parents live at the end of the street.

Emily shares a lot of insight into her home life on Instagram where her fans and followers can steal a glimpse of her beautiful home.

The bedroom has an impressive dark wood four-poster bed with white linen.

The walls of her bedroom are cream along with the carpets. The room also contains a wall mirror and billowing, white linen curtains.

Kensington is known for being an upscale area of London with beautiful Victorian architecture.

The area is home to the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and Kensington Palace.

The Royal Albert Hall is also located close to Kensington High Street.

Kensington has been known for its famous residents over the years including Sir Elton John, Eric Clapton, Rowan Atkinson and Robbie Williams.

The area is also known for its premium property market with the average home going for well-over £2million.

Properties in Kensington had an overall average price of £2,590,146 over the last year, according to Rightmove.

The majority of sales in Kensington during the last year were flats, selling for an average price of £1,847,615.

Terraced properties sold for an average of £4,730,864, with semi-detached properties fetching £13,467,000.
