Council releases pictures of the WORST parking attempts – as its wardens hand out nearly 2,500 tickets on one road alone | The Sun

A COUNCIL has released images showing some of the worst parking attempts it has come across over the past year.

The images from Birmingham show just how inconsiderate some people can be when they park up their motor and leave.

One image shows that even ice cream vans don't get away with it, with a bright blue van parked on a yellow line with a ticket on its windscreen.

Another shows a black BMW which has been abandoned outside some school gates blocking traffic from coming in and out.

A Toyota van can be seen parked diagonally across a parking bay, with its front wheels on the pavement and rear end hanging out on the road.

While a silver Ford Fiesta is seen parked in front of a charity shop door which it has blocked forcing the shop to remain shut.

Or what about the Honda Jazz that has been squeezed between bollards and abandoned on a pavement blocking it for pedestrians?

Or the Volkswagen Golf left diagonally across a traffic island with its wheels hanging onto the road at both ends?

That looks like a decent effort next to the Mini that seems like it turned left into a junction, but stopped and was simply left.

We're also treated to a Ford Kuga SUV on a bus stop and an HGV getting a ticket for being left on double red lines.

It's reported that areas like Sparkhill and Sparkbrook in Birmingham have some of the worst parked cars.

In particular, Stratford Road was found to be one of the top roads for parking fines with an astonishing 2,480 tickets slapped on windscreens in a year.

Police and ticket officers have carried out numerous operations tackling the issue of inconsiderately parked cars.

Recently, the Springfield WMP team issued 300 fines to drivers in a parking blitz in Sparkhill.
