Coronavirus restrictions across the UK means many people will be spending more time at home. When staying indoors, experts have shared their cleaning tips to leave the property free from dirt.

As the second coronavirus lockdown begins in England, many Britons will put their homes under scrutiny.

Since the coronavirus pandemic began, research showed 54 percent of Britons agreed that surface level cleaning is not enough.

Data gathered by Lupe Technology also showed that 58 percent of people said they are more aware of bringing germs into their home.

In order to combat this, creators of cordless vacuum the Lupe Pure Cordless Pablo Montero and Lucas Horne have shared their cleaning tips.

They said: “No matter how much elbow grease you put in and how hard your scrub, sometimes it can never feel like you get your house as clean as you’d like.

“However, there may be more you can do than just clean for a longer period of time.”

How to clean a property

Dust before you hoover

Dusting a property before completing other tasks will ensure any dirt will be picked up by the hoover or mop.

This will help with property stay cleaner for longer, according to the experts.

They stated: “Many leave dusting and polishing to the very end of the cleaning process but there is a better way.

“Dusting before vacuuming and mopping removes all the dust particles off of surfaces and when you vacuum, the dust filter in the vacuum cleaner has a better chance of picking up all of those specs.

“This can help people with asthma and allergies breathe cleaner, especially important if you’re going to spend a month indoors.”

Clean up high

When cleaning a home, it may be easy to forget about some areas.

Hard to reach places like shelves and wardrobes can gather dust but are often overlooked.

The experts stressed the importance of cleaning all surfaces.

This will help ensure the property is as clean as possible.

“It is often forgotten about, but don’t forget to spend some time cleaning high up,” they continued.

“Top corners of rooms, bookshelves and wardrobes are havens for fine dust particles and allergens, and failure to clean them will mean you will never get your home as clean as you’d like.

“When these particles are disturbed by things like opening and closing doors, these go everywhere.

“Remember to clean high up and your whole property will feel cleaner.”
