APPLE has quietly dropped its cheapest Apple Music subscription tier.
But fans aren't entirely surprised by the move.
The iPhone maker has offered a little-known Voice plan since 2021.
People could gain access to the music streaming service for just $4.99/£4.99 per month.
However, there was a big catch.
It could only be controlled using your voice and Siri.

So you couldn't just tap and select music in the Apple Music app.
Apple announced the shutdown, saying all its plans already work seamlessly with Siri anyway.
But it seems lack of interest may have been the final nail in the Voice plan's coffin.
Despite being a money saver, Apple users have reacted saying the plan won't be missed.

"I think that was the most useless thing apple has ever introduced," one person wrote.
"it was dead on arrival," another said.
"I don’t even care about this. Never used it," a third added.
Apple said the tier will disappear at the beginning of November.
"We will be turning off auto-renew for existing Voice subscribers," the firm said.
"If you're a current Voice subscriber, you can continue on your plan for the duration of your final billing cycle.
"Or you can switch to another Apple Music plan: Individual, Student, or Family, as well as Apple One — which includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, and more.
"You’ll receive a notification prior to the end of your final billing cycle with more information."
