THE Google Drive is getting a much-needed makeover that will make it much easier – and faster – for users to navigate.
The cloud storage platform is used by around one billion people to back-up work projects, presentations, CVs and similar files.
The update should be available for download on Android devices imminently.
When users open the app following the update, they will be greeted with a refreshed homepage and layout that Google said "will help you more easily find the right file much faster".
"An updated suggested view will allow you to see even more recommended files at once, such as those that have been recently opened, shared or edited," Google added.
The Notifications tab has been replaced with an Activity tab.
