  • Despite the ongoing pandemic, many travelers are looking to book warm and sunny escapes to Florida.
  • According to experts, private Airbnbs are safer than hotels right now due to the lack of interactions with other guests or staff.
  • We gathered a list of top-rated Airbnbs across major destinations in Florida, all affordably priced under $250 per night.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, from packing beaches to welcoming visitors back to Walt Disney World over the summer, the Sunshine State has eagerly welcomed back visitors since lifting most of its travel restrictions. And while many travelers are thirsting for a warm-weather escape or a trip to the beach, most vacationers have safety as a top priority right now.

Without a vaccine, there is no firm guarantee when it comes to travel safety. It's crucial to follow guidelines and advice from organizations such as the CDC and WHO, and practice safety measures including wearing a mask, washing your hands, and maintaining social distancing.

However, if you are ready to travel, it's worth noting that experts say private Airbnbs are likely safer than hotels. This is because entire homes with full-size kitchens reduce interactions with others, especially when compared to busy hotel lobbies and elevators.

Airbnb also announced rigorous new procedures as part of its Enhanced Clean Program that all hosts must now follow. However, there are still various tiers that hosts can choose to commit to. To help you rest a little easier, we've included the COVID-19 policies for each listing we've included below.

That said, domestic vacations within easy driving distances have been on the rise. Florida, in particular, is easily accessible from most American cities. And for those who do feel safe flying, there are relatively cheap and quick flights across the East Coast. Tourists can enjoy everything from theme park magic with the likes of Walt Disney World, as well as family-friendly resorts, and stunning beaches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico.

We gathered the following list of Florida Airbnbs based on the following criteria:

  1. Airbnb listings are for the entire home, in line with current expert safety recommednations.
  2. With affordability in mind, all of these homes are priced under $250 per night to start, with several coming in under $100.
  3. All listings are highly-rated with a review score of 4.7 or higher.
  4. Homes are in desirable locations, such as Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Clearwater, Tampa, Sarasota, Panama City, and the Keys.
  5. Warmth is only enjoyable on your own terms – every listing has air conditioning, and many have access to a beach or pool, with necessary amenities like beach chairs or grills.

These are the best Airbnbs in Florida, sorted by price from low to high.
